Are you an organisation with an idea for an activity but you need help in developing it into a fully fledged project, costing it and then completing an application for funding?
Kitchen’s Ink might be able to help you. Roger Kitchen has had extensive experience in this area, both when he was General Manager of Living Archive, Milton Keynes, raising up to £200,000 per annum in project funding, and more recently as a freelance consultant.
For three years, until the scheme closed in 2006, he was a Project Support Worker for the Local Heritage Initiative, offering help and advice to local community groups with their funding applications. He is also an Expert Advisor for the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Amongst the organisations we have worked with recently is the Oral History Unit at Southampton City Council. We helped them to devise and cost a project that recorded the oral history of the recently closed Vosper Thornycroft shipyard. Roger wrote up the successful ‘Your Heritage’ application and acted as Expert Advisor to offer support and advice throughout the project.
